In the past we have had customers ask if foam target backers could be used with the TAC II. In the long run, these should save money on wooden supports, cardboard backers, staples, tape, etcetera. Since we didn't have any experience with these products we didn't have a definitive answer. Now we do.
One creative customer made vertical supports from 3/4" PVC and fitted them to the TAC II by wrapping them with standard foam pipe insulation to provide a snug fit in the aluminum uprights. The polyfoam backers used are from Law Enforcement Targets (www.letargets.com) # BAC-PF5 24 X 48 X 3". These are the thickest ones available. The PVC enters holes in the bottom of the foam backers which holds them in place, and a headed nail can be used to mount the paper targets.
